The Vigeland Park in Oslo is a public park that features sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Norway and a must-see for art lovers.

Norway is home to many ancient stave churches, which are wooden churches built during the Middle Ages. Some of the most well-known stave churches include the Borgund Stave Church and the Hopperstad Stave Church.

The Tromsø city is known as the 'Gateway to the Arctic'. It is a city located in Northern Norway, is the largest city in the Arctic, and offers a variety of activities such as dog sledding, snowmobiling, and reindeer sledding.

Tromsø is the northernmost major city in Norway. Or the largest of the northern ones, as you prefer. It's at about the same latitude as our own Pevek and Dudinka and is considered the third largest polar city in the world, after Murmansk and Norilsk.

The climate here is relatively mild thanks to the Gulf Stream: the average November temperature is only -1,1 degree (in Murmansk -4,8, in Pevek -16,7, in Dudinka -23).

As Tromsø is located above the Arctic Circle, it has several facilities that have the status of "the world's northernmost". For example, the football club of the same name, as well as a planetarium and a botanical garden.

Tromsø is considered one of the best places in the world to watch the northern lights (the season lasts from September to March). In summer, tourists go there to watch the midnight sun.
